ISLAMABAD - Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court (IHC) Justice Athar Minallah on Thursday said that productive discussion and difference of opinion was good for a healthy environment.

Justice Minallah said this during a brief interaction with the representatives of the Islamabad High Court Journalists Association (IHCJA).

He congratulated the newly-elected body of IHCJA and expressed good wishes for its office-bearers.

He said that the judiciary believes in a free media and therefore the issues related to journalists’ community should be resolved through their respective unions.

Asad Malik of Dawn was elected the president of IHCJA in polls held on Wednesday while Fiaz Mehmood became the new secretary-general.
